Hemang Agrawal is an innovative designer with a deep respect for tradition who lives and works in Varanasi, an ancient Indian city rich in heritage. His delicate woven fabrics are sold all over the world. Pyu Mishra styles Bollywood stars and introduces us to the hottest young designers in Mumbai. SUTA is a fast-growing young fashion label in Mumbai that designs saris and sometimes pairs them with sneakers. Two young women are putting a fresh spin on traditional Indian dress with new shapes, bold modern patterns and super-soft fabrics. In Chennai, formerly Madras, RMKV is one of the largest and best-known suppliers of high-quality bridal saris. It is a traditional company founded in 1924. Founded by Amrit and Mriga, who grew up in Toronto, NorBlack NorWhite's designs have captured the spirit of a young generation of Indians who don't see a contradiction between the traditional and the contemporary. Vino Supraja is a designer from South India who wants to inspire the world with the colours and styles of her homeland. She's also a pioneer of sustainable design. Last but not least, we get an exclusive audience with Ritu Beri, THE fashion queen of India - she even has a postage stamp dedicated to her!
