Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is a fantasy manga series set in a world following the defeat of the Demon King by the party led by hero Himmel. After Himmel's death, Frieren, a magician who has lived for over a thousand years, embarks on a new journey to understand humans.

Synopsis:

1)
After defeating the Demon King and returning to the royal capital, the four members of the hero party — hero Himmel, monk Heiter, warrior Eisen and magician Frieren — reflect on their ten-year journey. However, the journey was extremely short for Frieren, an elf with over a thousand years of lifespan.

After seeing the 'Half-Century (Era) Meteor', which falls once every 50 years, the four disband the party, promising to meet again next time.

2)
Fifty years later, Frieren reunites with the elderly Himmel and watches the meteor shower again with Heiter and Eisen.

Soon after, Himmel dies. At his funeral, Frieren realises she knew nothing about him and never tried to find out. Troubled by grief, she learns about humans and collects magic.

3)
Twenty years later, Frieren visits Heiter, another of her companions. Like Himmel, Heiter does not have long to live, and asks Frieren to decipher the grimoire and take on Fern, a war orphan, as his apprentice.

Four years later, after Freiren has deciphered the grimoire, Fern has grown into a fully-fledged magician and sets out on a journey around the world after witnessing Heiter's final moments.

4)
With the help of Eisen, their last remaining companion, Freiren and her companions obtain the notes of Flamme, Freiren's master and a legendary great magician.

The notes contain information about Oreol, a place where one can speak to the souls of the dead. It is located in Ende, the northernmost land on the continent, where the Demon King's castle once stood.

5)
With a new goal — to reunite with Himmel in the land of Aureole — Frieren sets off north with a group of new companions. Among them are Stark, a young warrior and disciple of Eisen, and Zain, a monk who hopes to find his lost friend.

What is the meaning of the title of the anime "Funeral of Frieren"? In which episode will the origin be revealed?

https://times.abema.tv/articles/-/10100263

The title of the anime "Funeral of Frieren" "Funeral of Frieren" contains the meaning of the nickname of the main character Frieren and the story's theme. Frieren is long-lived, so she has experienced the death of her companions, and "funeral" has the meaning of funeral (seeing off) many due to her longevity.

In addition, the work depicts a scene where demons are defeated, so "funeral" is also used to mean burying the demons. Furthermore, through Frieren's journey to understand humans and learn to value life, the themes of the story, "death" and "parting," are expressed.
