Story:
One thousand years ago, Murasaki Shikibu lived a quiet life in Echizen Province with her father, Fujiwara Tametoki, her brother, Koreki, and her daughter, Kenko, with her husband, Nobutaka. One day, Fujiwara Michinaga, who wielded significant influence as a court official, asked her to come to Kyoto to tutor his daughter, Shoko. Michinaga fought for supremacy with his brother, Michitaka, and was eager to have their daughters give birth to the Emperor's child. Still, when Shikibu heard that Sei Shonagon was the tutor for Michitaka's daughter, Sadako, she was quietly fired up to fight. While teaching, Shikibu also explained to Shoko the magnificent Story of men and women that she had written, The Tale of Genji. Hikaru Genji, the protagonist of The Tale of Genji, is a beautiful man who excels in martial arts and science and is the son of the Emperor, loved by everyone. However, behind the scenes, many women were being toyed with by his love. His stepmother Fujitsubo, who was pregnant with Genji's child, Lady Rokujo, who became a vengeful spirit driven mad by jealousy; his wife Lady Aoi, who lost her life to her curse, Lady Murasaki, who she kept from an early age to raise her to be the ideal woman, Oborozukiyo, who caused Genji to flee the capital, Akashi no Kimi, who gave birth to Genji's child, and the women who were forced to live in the Rokujo mansion, collecting flowers of all seasons. Now, thanks to Shikibu's education, Shoshi became a beautiful woman and the Empress pregnant with the Emperor's child. Michinaga, who now had absolute power, confessed his love to Shikibu. Shikibu, who had secretly begun to be attracted to Michinaga, who looked just like her late husband, refused his offer and returned to her hometown. It was the least she could do to get revenge in an era when women were constantly at the mercy of men and could not express their love as they wished.
