SpaceX, a private company led by Elon Musk, conducted the fifth unmanned flight test of the giant rocket "Starship" and recovered the launch rocket on land for the first time.

The "Starship," the largest reusable giant rocket in history, which SpaceX is developing, was launched from Texas, USA, on the night of the 13th, Japan time.

"Starship", which combines a spaceship and a launch rocket, is about 120 meters long, and experiments are being conducted for flights to the moon and Mars.

About 7 minutes after launch, the rocket separated from the spaceship, returned to the launch pad, and, for the first time, successfully "caught" it using two arms.

After ascending to about 200 kilometres, the spacecraft re-entered the atmosphere and splashed down in the Indian Ocean about one hour and six minutes after launch.

By achieving the goal of reusing the vehicle, Starship has made a big step forward toward practical use.

Elon Musk posted on X, "Today we took a big step towards spreading life to other planets."
